RANKING SYSTEM

Understand the ranking system in Gunbound

The Gunbound ranking system works with three forms of progression. Each one determines players' levels in different ways.

  1. Fixed GP Table — Beginner (Chick ~ Double Golden Axe)
  2. From the Chick level to Double Golden Axe, levels are defined by a fixed amount of accumulated GP.
In other words: once the GP value from the table is reached, the player levels up, regardless of their position compared to other players.

    Examples:

    • 1100 GP → Wooden Hammer
    • 2800 GP → Metal Axe
    • 6000+ GP → Double Golden Axe

⚠ These levels are stable (they do not drop) and only appear in the game when the player reaches the GP target set for them.

  3. Percentage % – Intermediate (Double-Faced Metal Axe ~ Diamond Scepter)
  4. From 6,900 GP onward, the system begins to use relative ranking: levels are assigned based on the player’s position within the total group of active accounts that have more than 6,900 GP.

    Examples of ranges:

    • Top 1% → Diamond Scepter
    • Top 2% → Ruby Scepter
    • Top 29% → Double-Bladed Metal Axe

How does the percentage calculation work?

Suppose there are 2,000 active accounts with more than 6,900 GP. The 29% range (referring to the Double-Faced Metal Axe level, in this example) determines the number of slots available for this level within that group.
    29% of 2,000 = 580 slots
✅ Result: 580 slots will be available for the Double-Faced Metal Axe level.

    ⚠ Important notes
These levels are unstable and only appear when there are enough players with more than 6,900 GP, as they are defined by percentage (without enough players, the ranges simply do not exist). The slots for each level are limited and vary according to the total number of accounts above 6,900 GP. If this number increases, the ranges open more slots; if it decreases (due to penalties or inactivity), the slots shrink.

Additionally, overtakes, penalties, and account reactivations directly affect your position. That is, maintaining GP does not guarantee maintaining the level — everything depends on your ranking within a constantly changing group.

  5. Fixed Level Count — Veteran (Blue Dragon ~ Silver Dragon)
  6. Dragon levels are unique. They don't depend on fixed GP or percentage.
They are defined solely by a fixed, unchanging number of top-ranking slots.
Because of this, they are present automatically from the start of the game.

    Distribution :

    • gb-web-rank-1 1st place → Silver Dragon (1)
    • gb-web-rank-2 2nd to 15th → Red Dragon (14)
    • gb-web-rank-3 16th to 57th → Blue Dragon (42)

⚠ There are always 21 players with these levels.
To reach one, you just need to be within the top 21 positions.
But be aware: if you are overtaken and fall outside the slot range for a Dragon level, your level will drop according to your new position.
